Vacuum Extractor: Getting Down To The Nitty Gritty

Written by Jay Goldberg | Nov 19, 2010 5:00:00 AM

The purpose of a vacuum extractor is to remove dirt, oil, and soap residue from the area you are cleaning. Just scrubbing it and wiping up the foam simply pushes the dirt down into the area. If you have stains and ground-in dirt in your carpet or on your floor, and a simple vacuum routine isn’t cutting it, then it might be a good idea to purchase a vacuum extractor. A vacuum extractor pushes a liquid solution (there are different type depending on the stain) into the carpet’s fibers and then immediately sucks the debris out. This effective method has proven to work time and time again.

Most professionals agree that when it comes to carpet maintenance, prevention is a key step. Soil marks and dirt are best to be removed as soon as possible. However, we all know that not every situation makes this a possibility. That’s why it’s important to choose a vacuum extractor when trying to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, smell, and overall sanitation of your facility.

Reliability is a key factor when choosing a vacuum extractor, as well. As you are opting to clean and revitalize the carpet you already have instead of purchasing a new carpet, it’s important that your extractor is worth the price and stands the test of time. Most people are looking lightweight wands with the ability to glide over carpets, making carpet cleaning easier.

The benefits of a vacuum extractor include lengthening the life of your carpet, reviving the materials in which you’re cleaning, removing harmful allergens, maintaining the appearance of your surroundings.

The top carpet extractors will clean your entire carpet, and remove spots and stains. Keep high traffic areas clean, with popular models such as the Dirtdevil Featherlight Carpet Extractor, the AX9 Carpet Extractor, EAG 1400, Admiral 8, Ext 311 Extractor, Speedster Carpet Extractor, Clean NB 48 Carpet Extractor, and Harding 1408 Carpet Extractor. There are even more models available on the market that do a wonderful job at extending the life of your carpet and keep them looking fresh and new. Take note that the extractor you choose will depend on how much area you have to clean, and how often.
